Digital Non-Contact -50 ℃ ~700 ℃ degree LCD Back IR Laser Infrared Thermometer Themperature Measurement Electronic Point Gun. The most basic design consists of a lens to focus the infrared (IR) energy on to a detector, which converts the energy to an electrical signal that can be displayed in units of temperature after being compensated for ambient temperature variation. Infrared Thermometers allow users to measure temperature in applications where conventional sensors cannot be employed. Specifically, in cases dealing with moving objects ( i.e., rollers, moving machinery, or a conveyor belt), or where non-contact measurements are required because of contamination or hazardous reasons (such as high voltage), where distances are too great, or where the temperatures to be measured are too high for thermocouples or other contact sensors.

Emissivity : Most organic materials and pa-inted or oxidized surfaces have an emissiv-ity of 0.95 (preset in the unit). Inaccurate readings will result from measuring shiny or polished metal surfaces. To compensate, cover the surface to be measured with mas-king tape or flat black paint. Measure the tape or painted surface when the tape or painted reach the same temperature as the material underneath.

Distance & spot size: As the distance from the object increase, the spot size of measuring area becomes larger.
Field of view: Make sure the target is larger than the unit's spot size. The detected parts diameter need up to 1.5cm. But the best testing distance is 20cm.when detected parts size is 10*10cm

Quick Start Instruction:
|Step 1||Press battery door clip, install battery correctly. Pull the trigger, LCD display reading& battery icon. Release the trigger and the reading will hold for 7 seconds.|
|Step 2||Locating a hot spot: To find a hot spot aim the thermometer outside the area of interest, then scan across with up and down motions until you locate the hot spot.(please turn on the laser for accurate measuring)|
